Shalom, I am Iris Salmins, the founder of Yeshua Connection.
A Jewish person believing in Jesus is repulsive, disgusting! Well, in a way, I agree. The Messiah who came to Israel is now called Jesus by most Gentiles and unfortunately by some Jewish people. The name Jesus wasn't used until over 1000 years after he was born. Plus, he was born in Israel, not Nashville. :)
I believe Yeshua is the Messiah.
Both of my parents were Jewish. My aunts and uncles on both sides of my family were Jewish. My neighborhood was so Jewish that my public grammar school was 80% Jewish. For 10 years, I went to a Jewish religious school, in addition to public school, and was at the Jewish community center every week, participating in Jewish youth organizations and sports.
I must admit that something I would call supernatural happened to cause me to pray to the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and then name my four Jewish grandparents to make sure I was getting the Jewish G-d and not the goyim god. I said something like, "I am about to believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, so just make something terrible happen so I won't do that."
Following that, what happened was really unexpected. I felt peace and joy, but I don't want to give you the idea that when you believe that Yeshua is the Messiah you receive some type of a permanent feeling of being high on peace and joy 24 hours a day.
It isn't like that, although in tough times there is more peace and there is a difference between joy and being happy.
Well, I am putting this website together for you.
If you have any questions, give me a call or send me an email. I don't debate and am not interested in Tovia Singer material. By the way, I like him. He seems to have a real passion for what he feels he is supposed to be doing. He and I both have a great love for our Jewish people. So two Jewish people. I wonder what the third opinion is.
